GHOSTS OF THE REBELLION is the debut album of written word lyric-poems by THE PAINTED LINES.
Written largely between 2019 through 2024, GHOSTS OF THE REBELLION is the band’s illuminated and responsive collection of deep-dive emotional uncoverings. They are observations on a changing world landscape experienced over the last decade in both overtly political and discretely personal ways. It is an album of eleven hates and loves, impossible choices, the impermanence of time alongside melancholic discoveries and pensive hopes. More than all, it is an album of truths.
Each lyric-poem of GHOSTS OF THE REBELLION appears in full only in the debut book of poetry, SPARROWS OVER CLOUDS, written by Toronto-based writer Jean-Paul Fallavollita and published by PlanetSpin Publications. Released on November 17, 2026.
Selected album singles from GHOSTS OF THE REBELLION are released as spoken‑word performances.
